INTRODUCTION
Most Filipino companies follow a very traditional work setting. Usually, they offer 8:00 am- 5:00 pm office jobs which require employees to log-in, log-out and use the Bundy clock system. Since these jobs require one to be at the office, there is a lot of face-to-face interaction which fosters close-working relationships.
However, some multinational and newspaper companies are breaking away from these traditions and adopting a telecommuting system. Telecommuting allows employees to work at their own pace. It also enables them to become multi-task oriented and more mobile.
Although the traditional work setting and telecommuting are being practiced in the Philippines, this research project will focus on the possible applications of a new software to the telecommuting system.
